|
As you plan and develop
your career steps you need to look into the future as you
build your work experience. You don't want to spend your
time in a career that will soon move to China or India,
unless you're going there as well. I know there are some
nice spots in Beijing or Delhi, just ask some of our fellow
new immigrants.
Servicing our
infrastructure in Canada is a growth industry and the
skills, training and experience developed by you are
transferable between many different companies in your
future. Although your employer in this business will do
everything to meet your needs and to keep you with them. Use
your imagination, please, and look at Technology Service
positions which will marry your technical abilities with
your personality. Look at the industries of support to
Banks, Medical Industries, Hospitals, highly specialized
Manufacturing, Japanese and NA auto plants, building
construction of everything, Public Safety and office
automation products. We may manufacture less and less
products in Canada but you are needed in the business of
maintaining the Technology and maintaining the People who
use the technology. If you have good academic training from
University or College and a personality then please contact
me in strict confidence. This is my rant on Technology
Service Sector careers. (RHVS)
